Meet Our Team

  • Martin Myers

  • Director

I am an Architectural Technologist with over 20 years experience working at various practices across a number of sectors. I’ve always had a passion for domestic architecture and enabling the client to build their dream space. Being a part of KPA has given me the chance to see how client centred design brings out the best in people. Karen had a real talent to connect with people, to work with them to understand how best to use their home and her vision of home improvement is at the very heart of our practice.

  • Debbie Thomson

  • Office Manager

I have worked in an office environment for many years doing various jobs including credit control, payroll, sales and purchase ledger, Head Receptionist and Office Manager. I took time out in 2015 to attend college and there I gained my HNC,HND and Degree in Accounting. I then applied for the KPA Office Managers job and was successful in obtaining the position. I thoroughly enjoy working here with all the staff and being part of the KPA family I also enjoy dealing with the clients. It has been a challenge but one that I have grown myself into and has been the start of a new chapter in my life.

  • William Ewing

  • Senior Architect (RIAS)

I have more than 20 years experience in architectural practice and I have worked with several small and large scale practices in both Scotland and The Channel Islands.

My experience covers all project sectors including residential, education, retail, commercial, industrial and healthcare.

I have a real passion for residential architecture. I enjoy speaking to clients, preparing their design brief and developing their ideas to create the home of their dreams.

I consider myself to be considerate to client’s needs and meticulous in both design and detailing. This is fundamental for the building of strong client relationships.

  • Rowan Maclachlan

  • Architect (RIAS)

I have been a qualified architect for more than 10 years and have worked for several architect practices in Glasgow, both large and small scale. For a number of years I worked on a self employed basis, providing architect services to offices (working across different sectors including Healthcare, Hotel and Residential) and then taking on projects of my own (mostly domestic house extension / alteration projects). I joined KPA in 2019. I enjoy all of the interactions possible through working in private practice and the challenges often involved when working with existing buildings. I have always enjoyed hand drawing/ sketching, both at work and as a hobby at home, when my 3 young children now allow.

As a Part 2 I have worked in London and Glasgow on mostly domestic projects, I have a passion for high quality architecture that adds value to society and enjoy working with the team at KPA to further develop my own skills and knowledge.

  • David McPheat

I graduated University of Dundee in 2017 with a Master’s degree in Architecture. Since graduating, I have been working as an Architectural Assistant with the majority of my experience in the residential sector and am currently working towards my Part III qualification. I enjoy working as part of a team to create architectural spaces that enhance people’s day to day lives and particularly enjoy using 3D visualisations and hand sketching to explore creative ideas.

  • Shelley Crawford

  • Architectural Designer (Part 2)

I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2019 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture. Having now completed my university studies I will be working towards my Part III qualification in the office.  I am keen to share my passion for modern architecture found through travelling and exploration around the world, while continuing to develop new skills and exploring new ideas with my colleagues to provide residential spaces people can enjoy, through 3D visualisation and drawings.

  • Karen Parry

  • Founder

Karen set up the practice in 2005 to focus on her love of domestic architecture. As the business grew it became a collective of creative individuals with a shared passion for finding the best possible solution for each client’s home within constraints of space and budget. Karen very sadly passed away in 2020 but the practice continues in her name as a legacy to her commitment to making the most of your home by unlocking its potential.
