I’ve been a qualified architect for over 25 years and after studying at the Mackintosh School of Architecture I gained a breadth of experience in large and small practices in Glasgow and London. I set up my own practice in 2005 to focus on my love of domestic architecture and I now work with a small team of creative individuals who share a passion for finding the best possible solution for each client’s home, within constraints of space and budget.
I have worked in an office environment for many years doing various jobs including credit control, payroll, sales and purchase ledger, Head Receptionist and Office Manager. I took time out in 2015 to attend college and there I gained my HNC,HND and Degree in Accounting. I then applied for the KPA Office Managers job and was successful in obtaining the position. I thoroughly enjoy working here with all the staff and being part of the KPA family I also enjoy dealing with the clients. It has been a challenge but one that I have grown myself into and has been the start of a new chapter in my life.
I am an Architectural Technologist with over 20 years experience working across a number of sectors. I’ve always had a passion for domestic projects and being part of a process that enables the client to build their dream space. I enjoy the variety that the job brings and I am delighted to have the opportunity to further develop my skills at KPA with like minded professionals.
I am an architect and along with contemporary architectural design, I am interested in the areas of conservation, urban design and sustainability. I especially enjoy exploring creative ideas through hand drawing and graphic visualisation.
I have been a qualified architect for more than 10 years and have worked for several architect practices in Glasgow, both large and small scale. For a number of years I worked on a self employed basis, providing architect services to offices (working across different sectors including Healthcare, Hotel and Residential) and then taking on projects of my own (mostly domestic house extension / alteration projects). I joined KPA in 2019. I enjoy all of the interactions possible through working in private practice and the challenges often involved when working with existing buildings. I have always enjoyed hand drawing/ sketching, both at work and as a hobby at home, when my 3 young children now allow.
I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2017 with a Master’s Degree in Architecture and I’m currently working towards my Part III qualification. I enjoy exploring and learning from new cultures which led me to spend my 5th year at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in South America. I have an interest in the psychology of architecture, which has led me to start a PhD involving a sophisticated Post Occupancy Evaluation of a hospice environment with a focus on improving wellbeing. I enjoy working with my colleagues to create spaces which improve and enhance people’s living environments – which they can enjoy for years to come.
I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2019 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture. Having now completed my university studies I will be working towards my Part III qualification in the office. I am keen to share my passion for modern architecture found through travelling and exploration around the world, while continuing to develop new skills and exploring new ideas with my colleagues to provide residential spaces people can enjoy, through 3D visualisation and drawings.
I am an Architectural Assistant with experience in the domestic and retail sectors in Scotland and England. I originally came to Glasgow to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma at the Mackintosh School of Architecture and, since graduating in 2019, have been working towards fully qualifying as a chartered architect. I particularly enjoy working with historic structures – refurbishing, adapting and expanding existing buildings to create sensitive, cohesive pieces of architecture.
